Anyone can get COVID-19
It is spread through respiratory droplets between people within about 6 feet from another, among other means
Symptoms are Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath
You can protect yourself from respiratory illness with everyday preventative actions
Avoid close contact with others
Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
Wash your hands with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds. Use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if no soap is available
If you are sick, you should stay home
Cover your cough and sneeze with a tissue then throw the tissue away
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects
There is currently no vaccine but one is being worked on all around the world
People should wear masks in public and when around people who don't live in their household. Masks should NOT be worn by children under age 2 or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
Here are Belle Ridge, we are taking all necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Some people may find the actions we are taking to be a bit extreme, but we believe the protocols we are following to be the best possible practice. Listed below are the steps we are currently taking:
We are recommending guests communicate with us via phone or email as much as possible
Office door and windows are to remain open during business hours as much as possible to allow fresh air to circulate rather than depend on recirculated air through the HVAC system
No more than 3 guests will be allowed in the office at a given time
We are spot cleaning all common areas many times every day
We are sterilizing the office desk with bleach solution after each guest leaves
We have removed the requirement to sign the rules page so there is no need to transfer writing utensils
We have affixed the credit card reader to the desk outdoor reception window so guests do not need to hand their card to staff
We are sanitizing the bath house 5-6 times per day
We have closed cabins to all new reservations and are sanitizing all surfaces when existing guests check out of cabins
We are recommending all guests follow CDC guidelines regarding group size limitations
We are preventing all group based events from taking place on our property
We are putting up notices in the office and bath house that request certain things from guests, for example, to please be patient and work with us as we will have staff in the bath house much more often than usual to clean and sterilize, and to please wash your hands when exiting a rest room
If any staff exibits any symptoms of being sick at all, or lives with someone that is sick, they will take off work. They will receive paid sick leave at 100% their normal pay rate
If we become understaffed, we may have to adjust office hours. We are prepared with the following schedule:
Open office from 8am to 9am to create packets for guests checking in that day
Tape packets for each guest to the office door
Open office again from 4pm to 5pm, or any other time slot we deem necessary
Even if the office is closed, we will continue to take phone calls, answer emails and make reservations
* We have not needed to take these actions yet as no staff at Belle Ridge has tested positive for Covid-19 or become sick *
We cannot create the most appropriate guidelines for you. But we request that you treat our facility as if it has not been sanitized. Thinking in this fashion can certainly only help to prevent the spread even beyond the actions we can take.
Open door knobs/handles with tissue or a piece of clothing
Open and close your water hydrant with a tissue or piece of clothing
If you are of those most likely to exibit the most extreme symptoms (65+ years old, preexisting heart condition, immunocompromized, etc) please remain in your RV or home as much as possible
Follow CDC guidelines regarding how to prevent spreading or contracting the virus
Please be patient with us as our rules, regulations, and protocols may change as new information arrises
If you feel it would be best to cancel your reservation with us, please do so. We are issuing 100% refunds for cancellations due to Covid
Please refrain from spreading rumors regarding the virus. Our staff has been instructed to avoid entertaining dialogue which is not statistically and scientifically aligned
